uPVC Windows
Vinyl window frames are an affordable to wooden window frames. They provide good insulation within the frame as it is made from a plastic material which is a good insulator. Vinyl is an adaptable material which can be moulded into any window style. Vinyl windows aren’t as effective at enduring the elements.
Aluminium Windows
Aluminium windows are a contemporary, long-lasting alternative to window frames. Their shortfall is they are costly and low on energy efficiency; but they are highly durable and don’t fade in the sun or suffer rot or expansion.
Wooden Windows
Wooden window frames are an aesthetically pleasing and durable. To improve the longevity of your wooden window frame it is advised that have a cladding exterior to prevent weathering. Otherwise the wooden frame would require yearly maintenance of a clean and lubrication followed by being painted at 10 years old. Following that, a new layer of paint will need reapplying every 7 years to prevent the wood absorbing moisture and expanding and contracting. Due to their strength and versatility, wood windows require craftsmanship to build and can be costly.
Casement Windows
Casement windows are constructed of solid glass and opens out for a better view. The window usually comes with one opening window on the left and one on the right.

Tilt and turn windows are a great idea for areas that require increased air flow, they tilt inwards to open and offer good insulation when closed as they seal up against the frame.
Sash Windows
Sash Windows, or Hung Windows, are two sections of glass in one frame. Single Sash windows have one section that slides up and down for ventilation. Double Sash windows have both sections that slide up and down to provide two inlets of ventilation, the panes can also tilt.

Bay windows a three-sided protrusion from your home, the two side windows sit at a 30-90° angle and the middle window faces flat at the front. They are a great way to introduce interesting seating or storage into your home.
